Joshua Cárdenas is a San Francisco native, born and raised in the Excelsior neighborhood. He is a sophomore at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Joshua serves as the Associate Editor of Arcadia Political Magazine, Wesleyan's multi-partisan magazine, and is a content writer for the Odyssey. He is also a Research Assistant for the Wesleyan Media Project and the host of Dissecting the Political Landscape on WESU 88.1 FM. 

 

He is an avid reader and a political junkie---you could always catch him talking, watching, or reading about politics. In San Francisco, he worked with fellow youth and adult allies on advocating for policies that would improve the lives of young people of San Francisco.

 

Joshua is passionate about serving his community, and he hopes that one day he could work with the community, activists, and public officials to make a positive difference in their lives. On the weekends, Joshua catches up of some of the most pressing issues and news in our country and the world, reading his favorite periodicals such as The Economist, The New Yorker, Foreign Affairs.
